Hamilton Wesleyan Church - February 9, 2020 - How Happiness Happens

Today we take a deeper dive in the area of prayer offered to and for each other. As with many of the one another gifts, this one is easily given by anyone at any time. We have the opportunity to offer heartfelt prayers for every person we see. Like the gift of encouragement … like the gift of a greeting … this is a gift easily given but with major results. As the old saying goes, “Prayer changes things.” At least, it certainly changes us. So as we give the gift of prayer, we find we may be the first thing changed. The focus of the sermon will be on praying for each other. Often people will pray about each other … or they will pray about problems, but neglect to simply give the gift of heartfelt prayer. The focus of worship may well be on the privilege of prayer. The sermon will talk about doing it. The Hamilton Wesleyan Church is a group of folks who are committed to loving God to the point of changing and loving others to the point of sacrifice.
